There is also a center channel that drains fat into a handy, large grease tray. The whole grill measures approximately 18 by 20 by 39 inches. So Masterbuilt Outdoor Electric Grills are kind of cool to look at. This particular model of grill comes in silver also, which my wife was quite kean on. Apparently it is very easy to assemble and measures approximately 18-1/2 by 18-1/2 by 42 inches. The stainless steel grill rack is 200 square inches perfect for grilling up hot dogs, hamburgers, kabobs, and more when gathering with friends and family. Although we thought it was pretty classy looking, I wanted something more “manly” so to speak. so I won out in the end. The sales associate we spoke to at the store said this one the number one outdoor electric grill purchased by women.

So the Meco Outdoor Electric Cart Grill was another one we looked at. There seemed to be a lot of buzz surrounding this model so we went to Canadian Tire to check it out. obviously if you don’t live in Canada, you can go to your local hardware store.
This grill has a 200 square inch cooking service with a really cool viewing window. You can’t see it in the picture because it is on the other side. As you can see in the picture it has 2 foldable wood side tables and a wire shelf below. The whole grill Measures 26-1/2 by 21 by 41 inches. So George Foremen Outdoor Electric Grills are beauties. We almost went with this one cause a friend of ours had one and he swears by it. It can be used on it’s pedestal, which stands about 1/2 foot high or on a table top. It obvioulsy uses electrical heat which can be adjusted from high to low. It has the Foremen grill signature sloping grate which allows the fat to collect and drip away from the meat in a tray. Not too mention it has a 17 inch grill top.
Apparently the electric grill only takes a few minutes to assemble. And once it is up and running takes approximately 10 mins to heat up and be ready to stick your meat on. The nonstick grill grate makes cleaning up a cinch. It has a high domed and vented lid which allows for even cooking, especially for roasts. Apparently the grill is a little top heavy so if you do use the stand that comes with it just keep an eye out when grilling that the meat is placed on there evenly.

Just over seven months ago, my wife and I decided we were ready to finally take the leap! No, we didn’t decide to have a baby….we decided to go shopping for outdoor electric grills! I mean, we finally had a big backyard and wanted to start entertaining. So we checked out charcoal grills, bbq smokers, gas grills, you name it…we researched them all.
Well upon many days of making trips to Canadian Tire and exhausting our internet search for reviews on BBQ’s we settled on looking into outdoor electric grills and then began narrowing it down until we found one that suited us perfectly. I know I know…it sounds like we were shopping for a baby crib or something, but truley it came to be something quite personal to us.
The reason we decided on an outdoor electric grill was mostly due to the ease of use. You see, my wife, Janet, isn’t that big of a cook. In fact, she pretty much hates anything to do with the kitchen. But for some strange reason she loves to BBQ. But, that doesn’t mean she particularly wants to clean up all the charcoal or wood from a traditonal grill or BBQ. So the electrical type made it easy for her to just plug in and start cooking. Not too mention an electric grill is much easier to start. With our old, hand me down BBQ from my parents, she was terrified of going near the thing. To be honest, I wasn’t too thrilled about the idea either. The coals were a pain and the clean up was a whole other story. So with only an outlet needed near by and the flick of a switch, Janet can start cooking right away without waiting for me to get home to begin the tedious process of lighting coals or wood.
We decided on The Outdoor Great Room Company 20 Inch Legacy Cook Number Stainless Electric Grill And Vinyl Cover. I am sure you will agree it is a beauty indeed! So this blog about outdoor electric grills is to help you sort through the top grills and decide for yourself which one would best suit you and your family.
